La Maison Painchaud inc.

Maison Painchaud is a Community Residential Centre (CRC). Its mission is to welcome adult clients who have been through the legal system and to offer lodging, supervision, support and accompaniment services in order to promote social reintegration, while ensuring the protection of society. Its clientele comes from detention centers and penitentiaries located in the province of Quebec.

The intervention is personalized and aims at the responsible management of the individual in the community, as well as the acquisition of relational and social skills. A therapeutic program, objectives of social, affective and financial autonomy through job search, return to school, volunteer work and leisure activities are all means recommended to promote social reintegration.

The Maison Painchaud was founded on December 8, 1967, thanks to the contribution of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. The name Painchaud is that of Dr. Joseph-Louis Painchaud, physician, surgeon, philanthropist and founder of this society in Quebec City, in 1846.

Since 1979, La Maison Painchaud has been located at 1415 Saint-Pascal Avenue, in the Maizerets district, a stone's throw from the estate of the same name and the Enfant-Jésus Hospital.

In 2018, she acquired a condominium located at 1045 chemin Sainte-Foy, in the Saint-Sacrement district of Quebec City. It offers services to provincial clients followed in an open environment.
