  Description

  The approach of the Center on the Other Shore is based on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). We work specifically on the causes of substance use such as emotional management, self-esteem and relationship difficulties. We use schema therapy, ACT therapy and mindfulness.

  • Accommodation;
  • Social reintegration;
  • 16-week therapy program;
  • Family support services;
  • Sexology service (group workshop and individual meeting);
  • Supervised and subsidized apartment.

  Clientele

  Men 18 years of age and older with a drug and/or alcohol addiction problem

  Capacity

  20 places (during pandemic 12). Men only

  Admission requirements

  Preliminary evaluation using the IGT and the Nid-Ep, by phone or in person.

• Réinvente-toit

  Description

  Since 2021, the Centre sur l'Autre Rive also offers a long-term social reintegration service through supervised apartments. This project is called Réinvente-Toit. The offices of our community workers who do the community follow-up are also located at Réinvente-Toit. In partnership, we offer various social reintegration workshops as well as a computer loan service.

  Long-term social reintegration service (from 6 months to 2 years)

  Mixed, with a problem of homelessness, drug addiction and mental health

  Admission requirements

  • In-person evaluation;
  • Have a homelessness, addiction or mental health problem;
  • Willingness to be abstinent.

  • Willingness to continue to use alcohol and/or drugs
