About us

The Association of Social Rehabilitation Services of Quebec (ASRSQ) is a coalition of non-profit community organizations working in the field of social and community reintegration of offenders. It brings together nearly 80 organizations that work with individuals who have had run-ins with the justice system.

The ASRSQ promotes social rehabilitation and crime prevention across the province through various initiatives and supports the work of its member organizations by offering a range of services tailored to their needs.

The ASRSQ provides its members with active support and a wide range of services, including continuing education, increased visibility with correctional services and the general public, as well as opportunities for collaboration and networking through various committees and activities.

The ASRSQ firmly believes that community involvement in addressing issues related to delinquency contributes to social development and collective well-being. The Association therefore works to promote crime prevention by supporting the community-based interventions of its members, such as community supervision, community service, restorative justice, and employability initiatives.

Bringing together non-profit organizations working in the fields of social and community reintegration of adult offenders and crime prevention, the ASRSQ’s mission is to:

  • Support and provide services to its members;

  • Represent its members to government bodies and partners;

  • Raise awareness and encourage the involvement of citizens and other social groups in crime prevention and social and community reintegration.

The role of the ASRSQ is to seek to identify solutions to the problems associated with adult crime through efforts to make individuals accountable for their actions. These solutions need to be fair, all the while being satisfying for victims, the community, and offenders.

A just and inclusive society, where the prevention and rehabilitation efforts of the ASRSQ and its members contribute to the safety of our communities.
